Construction projects
Why do construction visits repeat reference views?
So that visits can be compared like for like. Reference views come from roughly the same areas and directions each time, so change is visible; other views vary. It's also what makes a Progress Film possible.
If every visit photographed the building from different places, it would be hard to tell what changed. Repeating reference views turns a series of visits into a clear before-and-after. The person on site is guided to roughly the same areas each time and can line up with the last visit's view. The newest work is captured in addition, close up, along with views that vary from visit to visit.
