For property owners
How to confirm where your property is
Visits are checked against the location you confirm, so it needs to be the right place.
How you know it needs you
- Home shows a small Location to confirm pill on the property's photo.
- When more than one property is waiting, Home shows one banner instead, for example 2 houses need you. Tap it to open the first one.
- On the property's page, Details says To confirm.
Confirm a spot marked on site
When the person on site has marked the spot, the property's page shows a card such as Confirm where your house is.
- 01Open the property.
- 02In the card, tap Confirm location.
- 03Look at the map. The pin is the spot marked on site. The line under Is this the right place? says who marked it and when.
- 04Read the short text above the buttons: it's what you agree to.
- 05If the pin is on your property, tap Yes, this is the place.
The property's page then says Location confirmed.
If the pin is in the wrong place, tap No, it's somewhere else. See How to ask the person on site to go back.
You can also start from the visit that recorded the spot: open the First visit record and tap Confirm location.
If nobody has marked the spot yet
The property's page shows the next step, Confirm where your property is, with a button such as Ask Chinedu to record the location (with your person's name).
- 01Tap that button.
- 02Wait for them to go. You're told when the spot is ready to check.
- 03Confirm it as above.
Setting it yourself or asking them
When you add a property, you choose. If you set the location yourself (I'm there now, the map, a link or a survey plan), you confirm it with the tick when you save. If you choose Ask the person visiting to pin it, they confirm they're at the property in the app and take one photo, and then you check the spot as above.
If the app says Only the property's owner can confirm where it is., ask the owner to do it.
